Elijah Carrington

Hi, my name is Elijah, and typically I go by Eli. I’m a Product Designer by trade and an Entrepreneur by heart.

While I was earning my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Media Arts from Robert Morris University, I spent my academic years sharpening my digital Product Design skills across UI/UX, through my coursework and freelancing. I was awarded “Best In Show” at our Spring Senior Showcase portfolio review, where fellow students and I showed off our culminated efforts from the Media Arts program. During my education, I was fortunate to attend the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference on a scholarship and spend a semester in London.

Professionally, I served as a Product Designer for a software engineering startup, which matured into a multifaceted consulting firm, specializing in Software Engineering, Product Design, and Technical Communications. My team and I have offered consulting services across various sectors: Finance, Cybersecurity, Government, Healthcare, Law Enforcement, Legal, Agriculture and Biotechnology, E-commerce, Retail, Consumer Social, and Education. Some of my pivotal projects included working on a global financial firm's bond platform, optimizing a web-based grower portal for a Series D startup, and representing a large consulting firm in its expansion to US markets via its Product Design and Venture Building business line.

On a day-to-day basis, I rely on Figma to create and maintain extensible design systems, design iterative prototypes, and employ Design Thinking methodologies to establish an empathetic connection to end user types. Through close collaboration with cross-functional teams, I can present my ideas, iterate and test new functionality, and establish parity with business strategies and user needs. My approach is grounded in research, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methods to ensure my prototypes are functional and user-centric. With nearly a decade of experience as a Product Designer, my focus remains on crafting intuitive and impactful user interactions.
